Creative Arts Therapies is an umbrella term for healthcare professions that use the creative and expressive process of art making to improve and enhance the psychological and social well-being of individuals of all ages and health conditions.

-Dance is a fun way to improve balance and coordination-

Creative Dance can be used as an assessment and as an intervention by focusing on motor control and motor learning. Promotes movement in all planes of motion to improve balance, postural stability, and strength.

Results from an article supports that creative dance incorporating motor imagery is a viable intervention for improving balance (stability recovery and directional control).

Creative dance or movement involves perpetually attending, without interpretive or critical thought, to feeling, sensations, and desires as they spontaneously manifest in bodily movement. When the mover remains receptive to the presence within his/her body he/she yields to his/her inner consciousness that arises in the form of images, sensations, feelings or visions.
